Resolved Question: In defense of Amanda G does this make me bad person?

Her post was talking about dog breeding, and 90 % of the people bashed and said being a fulltime breeder is being a owner of a puppy mill this that, blah blah. I disagree, heres whyI am 19, I volunteer at the UCSPCA, I do agility with my Beagle, Boomer Rang, and I work full time as a Jeep Salesman. I have my personal training certificate, and I teach people about the benefits of leading a healthy life. My goal in life is to be a full time breeder, I’m currently being mentored by 2 great, highly respected breeders in my area, one whom is a lawyer and breeds show quality Rottis, and one who full time breeds Boxers. I want to breed top show quality dogs. I dont expect to make a fortune, but what I do expect is by the time I’m done being mentored and comfortable, and have expeirience in showing, and breeding to start breeding my self. hopefully by the time im 25. I constantly hear people saying a full time breeder is no better then a puppy mill? How so? One of my mentores, breeds full time. Her husband and her show the dogs themselves, and have a great mid sized house, no kids and 5 great boxers, and three adopted dogs.. Her husband is a full time Vet, and in their house they had a bedroom tranformed into a dog heaven. Literally. They have their own tv, a show case for medals, walls lined with champion ridge pedigree’s and ribbons, custom built whelping boxes, and the floor where the puppies play is halve carpet half tile, that you could eat off of. These dogs have dog beds bigger then most kids beds, theres no cages, only a 8 by 8 cicular plastic gate on where the pups can play and develop. that sounds nothing like a puppy mill to me. They dont make a fortune, do to the money it costs to show, and do health checks and all the nessecary precautions, but they do live comfortably, and she breeds fulltime. Is that bad? i think not. I want to do something i love, i love boxers, i love animals, and i want to breed for the love of showing and the betterment of theb reed. i want to produce amazing dogs, and i want to know i wont have to think twice about putting a 8 year garuntee on my dogs. does that make me a bad person or a byb? not at all, if you know what your doing , you do it right, and do it for the right reasons, theres nothing inhuman abotu it at all.Thank you missy =] most people that truely know dogs, and showing and want to see gorgouse high quality dogs are fine and know what its about, but some people just piss me off with the stuff they pull out of their butt! nothing wrong with doing what you love for a living. i would also like to open up a vacational kennel, for when owners leave for vacation their dogs can to! between the two of them, you can make a good living. Thanks guys had to get this off my chest! my girlfreind of 4 years, is going to vet school, to be a vet, our dream is to have her be a vet, and me full time boxer breeder. we would both be active in showing and agility! i would also liek to open upa dog vaca center. adn im not stopping till it becomes reality :]Hey RESCUE MEMBER- My grandfather owns a car body shop that was handed down to my dad, that will soon be handed down to me, ive been working their my whole life. sorry your ignorant and rude =]i would not rely on my income from my dogs to pay all my bills at all. infact i wouldnt expect to make alot, but my significant other will be a vet, we;ve been planning this for 2 years now, and it all goes together so well, and breed amazing dogs, peopel will pay higher prices its that simple. thats not cruel at all, infact id much rather pay 1600 for a boxer with a 8 year GARUNTEE and amazing bloodline then a 1000 boxer with basicsamanda g- exactly the way i feel. some say if youalways have one dog pregnat your a puppy mill. im sorryu no, if you have a great establishment with the proper help, and are able to pay the vet bills and EVERY SINGLE dog is in great conditions andu nder great care, more power to you. thats the main difference between mills and reputable breeders, conditions and health. puppy miulls thge conditions are horrible. personally i wouldnt even want my dogs crated.MANHATTEN MAGIC- thanks! i do take pride in the way im going aboutthis, for i do see so many people with no training. i will never start until im 100% ready, and loaded with knowledge. im constantly reading, and am staying active in the dog world. and if you live in manhatten maybe in 6 years when i strart you should check one out! i live in poughkeepsie! ahaha an hour away =] hahah jk jk but thanks,.BYB HATE THE TRUTH- she and her husband work together, him being a vet, and her working at home with thep ups and dogs all day everyday goes together greatly.AKULA- she actually makes a decent profit of the pups. no corners cut, but her husband being a vet deff helps with thev et prices, and they do the gorooming them selves, she has a grooming certificate that she took shchooling for.^^^^ that was meant for DIVA POM.i would expect to make al ittle profit of these pups, but my major profit i would expect from the dog boarding/hotel think i would like t o also start. one person that i know who does this has 24/7 cameras recording and the owners can watch their animals on the internet and check up on them! its awesome and the animals love being on vacca!APRICOT- no way would i do that. if my bitch is done breeding she goes into retirement, i would never sell them, they would be my family. all the number of dogfs id have would be my family. not my prostitutes. haha thats how i look at people that sell their bitches when thery cant be used anymore.
