Open Question: Would you get your puppy debarked ? |
Of course you wouldn’t and neither would I. You wouldn’t even get a dog if you don’t like it that dogs bark, would you ? Well people are getting kittens, knowing that they have claws and then they are having them declawed, just as if it’s as routine as neutering.This painful crippling operation is supposed to be a last resort procedure on cats with serious scratching behaviour but some vets are just doing it on demand to people who can’t be bothered to buy their cat a scratching post and train it not to scratch their precious furniture.In fact some vets are encouraging it done to young kittens ! Think of your life without your finger and toe ends… because they remove the whole joints, not just the claws.How cruel is that ! The kitten wakes up in pain and shock,his life as a cat is ruined.Please if you love animals, even if you love dogs better than cats, help us get this torture stopped.http://www.petitionthem.com/default.asp?sect=detail&pet=4312Thank you.BTW I live in England where it is already banned.
