Open Question: Why is my husbands pit bull acting this way? |
My husband has a male pit who is about a year old and he used to listen to me and he used to be a quiet and calm and never used to ignore me when i call him. I am 7 months pregnant and i thought it was because of me being pregnant that he has been acting like this. He only listens to my husband and never listens to me. We moved into a new house about a month ago and he has gotten worse. He barks at everybody that walks by, I can’t talk to anybody outside with out him barking or trying to get close to the person i am talking to and its irritating. I spend most of my time yelling at him to lie down, sit, and he doesn’t even listen when i say bad or no and he used to always listen. We have never hit our dog and we do not abuse them but i am starting to get worried about how our dog has been acting lately and I need some ideas. I tried the dominate training again with him but it doesn’t work. He thinks he runs the house when my husband is gone and it’s like what i say doesn’t matter cause he doesn’t listen at all and my husband is no help either. I need some ideas on this and how i can make him realize that i am the dominate one when my husband is gone. I already plan on getting him neutered.
