Open Question: why dogs are considered man’s best friend? |
The domestic dog (Canis familiaris) is undoubtedly the canid of the greatest importance economically. Numerous humans are actually employed in raising, selling, doctoring, grooming, training, or providing and manufacturing food for “man’s best friend.” Dogs probably were the first wild animals to be domesticated; they have been found associated with Neolithic sites dating back some 8,000 years.
