i really dont get it. i have 2 questions so here they r…QUESTION 1: y do people get an animal and then love it for the first few days and get tired of it and then just let it sit outside w/out food and the attention and love they deserve. i really dont get it. if u know u dont like animals to much to begin with y get one in the first place. i volunteer at a shelter and the only thing i dont like about mine is that we dont do house checks unless someone feels that the potential adopter may not be a perfect fit(snf from what i know we dont do it often). and we also do petsmart adoptions and the person can adopt that dog right then and there only if they are not on the dont not adopt list. i mean we only talk to these people for about 10-30 mins and then if they sound good (u can’t really tell sometimes if they r lying or not about themselves) the dog goes with them. and it seems the reason mostly y some get them is b/c they r cute which isnt a good reason to adopt a dog. the sad part is that i have gotten quite a few emails from shelter staff saying that said that we are getting back dogs b/c the adopter got tired of it and chain it up outside and let if starved and they didnt want it anymore so they call us to pick them up. we even got one person return one of our dogs with a emmebed chain in its neck. and just recently one of our dogs were killed at another shelter b/c the adopter said the dog was aggressvie and bit them and some kids all the time which was a lie b/c the dog was super sweet and pluis if it did wont they have given back us the dog after the first bit. we had another dog that was also taken to a kill shelter but lucky it was saved in time b/c it was microchiped with our shelter info on it and we pick it up the asap. people do the craziest things when they get tired of the dog and they know that when the sign the contract it did say that they can return the dog to the shelter if they can no longer care or want it but they still have their own method of disposing the dog. QUESTION 2: y do people get a dog if they r just going to let it be tired up outside.i mean i know u wouldnt like to be keep outside when it is super hot or cold. i know some might say it has behavior issues but u could always get a trainer and plus training doesnt happend. overnight. i mean if u u r going to let the dog stay outside all day at least give it proper shelter b/c i have seen dogs without a good shelter during the winter and i can tell they r frezzing. which i think it is just cruel.
