Open Question: Which dog breed best suits my personality? |
I’m a VERY introverted person. I prefer the quiet and I don’t exercise much. I want a dog that is EXTREMELY easy to train and that can live in an apartment. It gets cold in the winter and very hot in the summer where I live. I want to do competitive obedience again with a dog. I don’t like “designer dogs”, so don’t put them up here. I need an independent dog breed and one that isn’t happy, happy, joy, joy with strangers.I prefer large dog breeds, but smaller ones are OK too. I won’t get anything under 10 lbs. unless you can really prove that’s what I need. I also have a cat and another dog from the pound. He is a Beagle mix and about 14 lbs.If anyone says to go to the pound to get one, could you please include a certain breed I should look for? Like, a Collie mix or something like that.I never said that I don’t exercise. I go for a walk twice a day. And I’ve always thought it good to know what you want so that you’re not surprised when you buy a Bulldog and get a hyper Dalmatian personality.I used to have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. And he was a JACK$%#!!! He was very mean, afraid of everything, and never listened. We got him from a breeder and a month after we had him she told us that the father was just like him! I was soooo mad!I’ve been thinking about a Whippet mix?
