Open Question: What kind of dog would he be? |
I’m wondering what sort of title and training my dog would need? I want him to be the kind of support of mental patients. Not one to alarm someone that they’re having an epelptic fit. My fiancee is schizophrenic and he is currently in the mental hospital. After having gone to visit him & seeing someone else there w/thier dog I’ve realize what a help they can be. So I’m wondering what sort of dog my dog would be considered? My dog behaves far better than the dog I saw at the hospital last night. This dog was jumping on peoples laps and barking at everything (it was a golden retreiver) my dog however is very quiet and doesn’t bark at anything, he only barks when provoked, and is ALWAYS at my side, and he only weighs 2 pounds (hes a Maltese)I know I just posted a similar question but I now realize that I should’ve added more detail. Also: Is there anywhere I can register him today and get confimation today?Hmm, sorry for the odd wording. I have a 2 pound Maltese, I want him to be a therapy dog. He behaves MUCH better than the therapy dog I saw last night @ the hospital where my schisophrenic fiancee is currently staying. What do I have to do to get my dog as a registered therapy dog for mental patients?
