Open Question: My dog vomits nearly once a day. What’s wrong? |
He is a four year old ShiTzu (spelling?). He has always had a temperamental stomach and we are used to him throwing up something once or twice a week, even though we feed him only dog food and training treats. But, lately he has been vomiting nearly every day. We took him to the vet and he says his blood work and stool are normal. He thought it could be a food allergy of some kind, but why would this come up all of sudden? His brand of food has not changed.One more thing……he normally throws up on an empty stomach…….just bile and acid, no food.I meant to write that it was normal for him to vomit once or twice a MONTH, not “once a week.”
