Open Question: My chocolate lab is too hyper. What do I do?

My husband and I have a 1 1/2 + year old Chocolate Lab. We also have 3 young children. I have been training the dog from the get go (adopted her at 1 yrs of age) to be respectful of the kids. We had major problems with the dog running through the door when our kids would open the door to walk into the house from the back yard. She would barge through and knock them over. Even us adults. I trained the dog to sit and wait by the door till we all got through. However, in the last month she is showing much hyperness toward my 3 year old. It’s gotten to the point we must get rid of her. She will be outside running around for an hour, come in hang out, then go back outside with the kids. She will run around the yard and literally plow my son down. This has happened 3-4 times in the last 2 weeks and resulted in injury. Today she ran right into him he flipped into the air and landed so hard on his back he couldn’t breathe. The time before she flipped him, he landed on his head on a pavement stone. He now has scrapes on his face and I am done. I can’t live my life wondering if the next time my son could have permanent injury or even death because our dog is so excited. Has anyone ever had this happen? Nothing has changed, her diet is the same, excercise is constant cause I am home almost all day. She has free reign to go in and out all day. Sorry this is so long. I’m just so upset over my son being injured — too many times.
