Open Question: My 1y.o. minpin does not know what toys are yet? |
Hey everyone!I was just wondering if there’s anyone out there with any experience with an adult dog who’s never seen/played with dog toys. I recently adopted an unsocialized 1 yo minpin from a rescue. She’s been with us for 3 weeks and she’s making huge, huge, huge progress.I know with more time, basic obedience training+, more socializing, and more TLC she’ll eventually learn to be more playful and learn how to play with her toys, buuuut… I wanted to see if anyone with/without experience had some suggestions or ideas for me 
Things I have Given Her + Result:Kong w/ Peanut Butter stuff’n. Doesn’t care for it. (poor choice of stuff’n maybe?)Petsmart BoBo (Loofa dog) doll: Sleeps with it and occasionally chews on it.Rope/ball combo cat doll thing: Sleeps with it in her other bed and occasionally chews on it and recently began to mouth it a few times when I would dangle it around. Usually, she would just ignore it.Tennis Ball: No reaction. Just a stare and one poke with the nose, the end.
