Open Question: Is it normal for a dog not to want to play with toys at all? |
My dog doesn’t care for toys at all, she doesn’t play with stuffed animals, and doesn’t pay attention to squeaky toys, she acted playful with a ball before, but when I tried to encourage her she sort of lost her attention with it. I’m training her and I wanted to try to get her to play with a toy or something, to play with her, but she really doesn’t seem interested. Do other dogs do that? I wanted to get her to do tricks for me just because she wants to, and i thought playing with her would be a good way, but she’d prefer to sleep in my lap or something, is there anything I can do to get her to do things like sit or stay for me just because she wants to, not because I have a treat?
