Open Question: is it hip dysplacia? |
have a canaan dog and they generally have very good hips but sometimes get it. he is 11.5 months old and if we haven’t had the time to walk the dog or the walk just wasn’t enough excercise for him and our border terrier we have them chase the lazer beam, recently my canaan has started yelping when he makes sharp turns. before that i had noticed sometimes when i walk him he limps but he hadn’t done it for a long time. when i was at this place where i had taken him through his training class they said i could continue bringing him out cause he is still needs training and socialization around other dogs well when i was walking him around my trainer pointed out that he was limping alot he limped like the entire class. i also heard when dogs sit with the knees bowed out it could be a sign of hip dysplacia which he also does. i plan on taking him to a vet soon but what do you think? if he has it what do i do how can i keep it from progressing?
