Open Question: Is a doberman the right dog for me? |
Well, I have been wanting to get a doberman pinscher for aprox. 2 years now, and before I lived in an apartment complex and felt that it would’nt be right to confine a dog to such a small space and also with no yard, that and breed restrictions. So now I have moved into a house, with a LARGE fenced in yard and feel now might be the right time, however every website I go to says something different about their temperments. I have no job, I am a student and am in school and have plenty of free time to spend with the dog and train and exersize with the dog, however I don’t want a dog that will jump all over me and the house and knock things over, is that true about this breed? I have owned dogs before but never a doberman, I have done alot of research and am very prepared and able to make the commitment. Can anyone tell me the dobie’s true personality!?
