Open Question: I’m in college, really want a Rottweiler…is this a good idea? |
I’m an 18 year old boy in college. I’m living in a small house with my sister. We have a large, fenced in yard in the front, and I’ve wanted a dog for the longest time. I get home at about 12 PM everyday from classes, and I work on the weekends until about 4. I really want a Rottweiler because i use to have a dog, and i love the companionship that comes with owning a dog. I’m also highly active, and have done a great deal of research on the breed, and understand they are not for everyone and need a lot of training early on. I watch Cesar Milan’s show all the time, and have even read his book on being a “pack leader” so I am very informed. What attracted me to this particular breed was not just the companionship, but how they look, and also their natural protectiveness. What I’m wondering is…is it a good idea to own one right now? why or why not (in great detail please!!)
