Open Question: im afraid my pit bull will turn on me? |
There has been so much in the news about families being attacked and mauled by the “family dog”I have 3 pit bull/staffy mixes (1 pit bull/lab/jack russel)(1 pit bull mutt)(1 mastiff/staffordshire terrier)They are balanced and they are well trained and watched at almost all times and never play unsupervised (since like children they can play too rough and it can turn into anger)Not one of them has showed ANY human agression and very very little dog agression (only towards aggressive dogs barking or trying to get my husband and i)This may sound weird… I trust them- but im afraid one day they will betray me.gosh. It would be nice to hear from some people who have had sound, stable pit bulls or pit mixes or mastiff mixes whos dogs were loving and didn’t turn on their families.Thanks.(since like children they can play too rough and it can turn into anger)^^^^^^^ they have never fought- maybe 3 times total they have gotten playing to rough and I hear a yelp^^^^^^^Ive never had a problem trusting my dogs… they are all a couple years old. Like I said alot of news stories are talking about “perfectly trustworthy” dogs turning. Today I saw two family pit bulls”broke down the screen door to get in the house and mauled the familys child to death”I DO NOT FEAR MY DOGS!! I FEAR THE FUTURE. LIKE I SAID THEY ARE PERFECT NOW. I AM AFRAID ONE DAY THEY WILL TURN.LIKE IF I EVER HAVE A CHILD!I show my dogs every day that I am boss. I will go stand over the food dish and they will all leave and lay down avioding eye contact. and wait for permission.I leave the door first. im pretty sure that they know who is boss.Im not trying to be rude, im just… i love my dogs, im expressing my concerns
