Open Question: I just brought home a German Sheppard that is a year and a old? |
I just got a wonderful male German Sheppard ( fixed ) and he is a year and a half old. He hasn’t been trained very well and I was wondering if anyone had a few tips on how to train him to be good to be around babies. I have a 6 week old son and a 2 and a half year old son and they both love our dog, my oldest wants to play with him but he (the dog) is not too sure of him because the people that we got him from let their son beat on him with toys. He is very easy going, and loves to run and play. He doesn’t bite but he does nip when he plays and gets too excited. He doesn’t jump up wich is really good, I need a way for him to listen to my husband also. The dog is more a womans dog, and doesn’t listen very well to my husband how can we change that? Thank you to anyone who has any information or tips on training.
