Open Question: I have a question about walking/running? |
so. I have this great training guide book/binder (its a binder. printed from the computer)its ‘sitstayfetch dog training to stop your dogs behavior problems!’its a great book thingy. I’ve learned a lot from itI’m re-reading it. I’m reading up on leash training. but I cant really 1 on 1 ask questions about itso I will ask on hereit says that your dog should be right next to you. following you. when I run with my girls…they aren’t right next to my side. they’re next to me yes. but a little down the leash.so we don’t trip over each other.is this OK? they are great walkers. yes-they pull here and there. but they do pretty well.one thing I want to be able to do is walk them together eventually. I had a coupler for a while. but it didn’t work out just yet Meri is 110 lbs and Bella is 90pulling together = 200 lbs of muscle compared to my 150so I’m training them both separately.one thing is when we see other dogs on our walks. it doesn’t go so well. Bella I can handle jumping against the leash.so Meri uses a prong collar. b/c its what works for her and it works great. so she doesn’t jump against it. she barks. but she staysand its not that they want to ‘eat’ the other dogs. they want to see themso. this is what I am working onif you could give me advise that would be greatthank you!!
