Open Question: How to train my elderly dog to go potty inside? |
My 14 year old dog is arthritic and well just old. I am very worried about her trying to go out in the back yard in the snow and ice in the winter, I am so worried she will fall and hurt herself, I am trying to train her to go potty inside. We got the absorbant pads that are supposed to entice them to go on it inside and she knows the command “do your business” but she is having none of it. When we take her over to the pad and encourage her to go, she just stares at us with an anxious look on her face or lays down on the pad. Any suggestions?
