We just bought a new puppy today and I’m not sure how to train it to pee in certain areas. We bought these pad type things and placed them around the house and we’re trying to teach her to pee on those. But how? She just peed on the floor and we told her no and showed her where she should go. But what else can you do to teach a new dog? Its a female maltese named Lilly.She is about four months old. We are also training her to be used to sleeping in a little cage. We made it comfortable so she’ll like it-we hope.We tried just putting her in it and leaving the door open to see if she’ll like it, but she just walked right out. How do we make her used to sleeping in there and trying to make it more comfortable? We put a soft towel on the bottom to make it soft. What else should we do? We also have a nine year old Bison Frise and they seem to get along fairly well. We walked them outside together for the very first time. He peed on a tree and she went up to it, inspected it then peed herself. So we praised her and called her a good girl. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
