Open Question: How to keep my new dog warm in the winter? |
I have recently become the caretaker of a new dog which used to belong to my dad. This dog was adopted from the animal shelter and I’m not sure what mix of breed it is, it is short haired. My dad kept him outside so he is not trained to be an inside dog. I have my own dog that is a Corgi and is kept inside. I’m worried about the outside dog this winter. I live on the west coast where it is not too cold but it does occasionally get down in the 20′s and 30′s. I do not want him to be outside in the cold yet I do not know how to train him at this late stage to be an inside dog. ( My Corgi is the first dog I have ever owned) What can I do to take care of my outside dog during the winter so that he is comfortable outside?
