Open Question: How do I stop my dog’s licking addiction? |
Our puppy is going on 12 weeks old, a yorkie, and potty training is finally going along very nicely, but now we have a new issue!! She has started this sniffing and licking addiction. I cannot seem to stop her. I have redirected her with toys to play with, and tried distracting her, but she goes right back to the sniffing and licking as soon as I turn my head. She will lick a single spot on the carpet or comforter or anything she can get her tongue on for forever!!! We also tried the “Stop chewing” spray to sour things so she wouldn’t like it, but it doesn’t even seem to phase her! Does anybody else have this problem? I know puppies need to chew, but this is not chewing.
