Open Question: How do I fix these annoying problems with my daughters dog? |
Help!!!! Last christmas we bought my daughter a chiuahua he is the sweetest dog very protective of her. He waits at the door until she gets home from school and sleeps with her at night and will growl and bark if anyone comes near her. We have two problems though he pees and poos anywhere he wants on my living room couch, under my other kids beds.(he won’t go under my daughters bed or on any of her stuff though) it is getting very irritating, frustrating, and gross. How do we make him go outside? Next problem is anytime anyone is over we have to lock him in the restroom cuz he won’t stop barking and growling at them. She wants to take him on walks with us but i’m afraid of him barking at people along the way, it’s embarassing. He normally doesn’t bark at other dogs though just people. Why does he do this and how can I fix these problems? I haven’t the slightest clue on how to train a dog.She does baby him a lot. And we only gave him to her for Christmas last year because she had been begging for a chiuahua for two years. And she is really good at spending time with him feeding and watering.Thanks for all the advice on potty training. Any suggestions on how to get him to be nice to people? Tommy Macaroni is one. Is it to late to train him now do we have any hope?
