Open Question: How can I stop my adopted dog from biting me when scared? |
I adopted a dog and the previous owner had said it had gotten all its shots, he was potty trained, and that he never bites. To my dismay, my new adopted dog bit me when I tried to clean his tears (I used a dog cleaning tear solution, nothing that will hurt his eyes). I know it is probably because he is in a new environment and he has no idea who I am. Also, because I was probably making him feel uncomfortable. However, now whenever I go near him he growls at me, and he tried to bite me again whenever I have some sort of cotton ball or tissue near him. Can anyone offer any suggestions?? PlEASE, i really dont’ want to put him in another home and have him feel abandoned once again.
