Open Question: how can i retrain my dogs? |
i have 3 shih tzu’s. one male age 3, one female age 2 and another female age 1. they are very well trained but when it rains or the weather is bad, they will NOT go out, even if we take them out on leashes, they refuse to go. the oldest one can hold it forever like a camel, but the other 2 females will just drop and go, and its always in the same spots they have gone before. we have now replaced 3 rooms of carpet, and about to replace the remaining rooms in the house, and we do not want them to have 1 accident. i know that watching them and taking them out frequently are the main things to do, but any hints on how to avoid them all together, and with winter coming up, i live in the midwest, im afraid the whole ac cident will start again. they are in perfect health and do anything and everything right, its just this one thing but its also the one thing that my husband is being vigilant about, if accidents keep happening, he wont be happy.any help, no smart answers please, i am taking this seriously
