Dogs Training Blog

My boyfriend and I have a Husky German Shepard mix that is a terror. No matter how much attention we give her or how hard we try to keep her on a schedule it doesn’t matter. When she is taken out frequently she still goes in the house even if she went out not even 10 minutes ago. She has plenty of toys and receives plenty of treats but still insists on chewing up things around the house. I have a golden retriever that is very well trained and behaved which I accomplished on my own. He took very quickly to his training. I understand that dogs are like children and will learn at their own pace but I feel as if she should have shown improvement by now. we are consistent and punish her when fit but it doesn’t matter there is no change in her behavior she’ll whimper and do it again within the next two minutes. I have tried everything I can think of to break her bad habits but nothing seems to work. I’ve read books and searched online but nothing worked. It’s like she never fully grew out of her little puppy stage but she is now a year old. I don’t know what to do and need help.
