Open Question: Help with recall training for 3 year old Labrador? She is a real hunter and just runs with a scent – help? |
She is a very obedient dog, sits heel waits, walks on etc She obeys verbal and physical commands and generally is just an ideal dog. I dont have her on the lead much as we are lucky enough to live quite near some large park/wood lands so we just pile her and our other dog into the back of the estate and let them out the other end. She quite often just gets a scent and then she is off, under brambles, over fences and into the beyond. It can be sometimes be 10 minutes before shes back. She rips her ears on the brambles and comes back with thorns but she just wants whatever she smells, rabbit, deer, fox. I call and I call but she wont come back until shes ready.Help?!
