Open Question: Help please! Why is my dog acting so weird? Is she sick? Please read details** ? |
So my 6 month old pup/dog had a real “workout” today. Her new trainer came by to the house and we did a series of exercises in order to make her a better, obedient house dog. She behaved well, and I instantly saw some improvement after today’s lesson. However, several hours later, I noticed that she began to sneeze quite frequently. It’s cold and wet outside (from the rain) so I made her crate all nice and snug hoping she would sleep in it tonight. When I tried to come over to her in order to coax her into her crate, she started growling at me! She’s acting quite different (way different from the sweet hearted fur ball that she was today). She really doesn’t want to move (from her wet grassy spot). And when she does stand up, she’s in this weird arching, “I really don’t want to walk” stance (like she’s uncomfortable to even stand up). She’s really treat motivated. So I tried to make her stand for treats….no luck. I tried to excite her with her leash by showing it to her, and she just got mad and bit the leash! I don’t know what’s wrong. I really want her to come inside where she can be warm. And she is acting as if her nose itches, or something crawled up it. Does it have something to do with the cold? My boyfriend thinks that it’s probably because she was fed way too many treats today during training, so she’s not feeling well, which may be possible. Has anyone ever experienced such things with their dog(s) before? It’s quite odd to me. We had a fun day. She was really happy with her training. She liked the trainer. So I don’t know why she is acting so differently. Any suggestions? And please note that she’s fully vaccinated. Thank you.
