Open Question: About to purchase a pup? |
I am getting a puppy tomorrow, and I’ve got a few basic questions and one moral question for you guys…1. Should I have come up with a name by now, or decide after seeing its personality etc. 2. When should I begin training the pup – immediately, or give it a few weeks to settle into its new home before putting pressure on it? Or will this encourage untrained behavior or something I’m not thinking of?3. I’m a huge fan of ‘odd’ names, nothing too flashy or anything, but is it morally wrong to call a dog something other than an everyday name?e.g. moon unit, strep, devar, etc.
