My Maltese is 1yr 2months and the worst I have experienced has been like you said , he goes on wee-wee pad and might step outside the pad edges. He knows to go outside and on the wee-wee pad. I have read several books on Maltese and they say at times they will have to be re-trained. I have never had him go on the bed but once or twice behind the recliner and I just will make him smell it and then take him to the wee-wee pad and say do it here . It worked just a matter of re-training!

the best way is to punish your dog when your training it to stop doing one thing, reward her when she does something right, if that does not help call your vet or bring her to training school

the puppy needs to learn how to **** and *** outside
it is growning and cant stay in one spot so what i did to train my dog to go out side was take the puppy papers that it already messed on and put them outside and put a rock on the corner of it so it wont blow away. then take it outside and it well smell that it marked its territory there and he will do it again but make sure this time its on the grass. after wards reward it with a treat or stroking it on the back or something it likes

its going to be potty training all over again. start taking the dog outside. watch when she starts sniffing the room, pacing back and forth, or goes to the door. mainly, watch her sniffing around. thats a sign that she has to go and is trying to find the "right" spot. immediately pick her up, take her outside and put her in a designated spot and wait for her to go, and then reward her with a treat. keep a close eye b/c the accidents can happen just like that.
