Hi,

Crates make housetraining simple. Because dogs don't like to *** or **** where they sleep and eat, they'll hold it when they're in their crate. Take him out for bathroom breaks regularly, and he's more likely to eliminate outdoors--this helps him learn a good habit. But remember crate is a training tool, not a place to stick your dog and forget about him. Please visit the following links for more info.

You would be best equipped to enrol you and your new puppy in puppy preschool then continue on to obedience training. You need to reinforce whatyou learn at home. Remember: The KEY to a wellbehaved dog is CONSISTENCY; the love it. It makes your life a breeze too and everyone is happy. Happy pooch happy owner et al.
Meanwhile encourage him with behaviour modification. No yelling, abuse etc. That's all negative and will reinforce negative behaviours. Persist and encourage with eternal love as you would a child.
