I don’t want to loose my dog because of the neighbor complaints. Can anyone tell me why my dog barks when left alone? Can anyone give me any solutions to fix this problem?

this sounds like a problem i had with my dog. he’s lonely. I used to leave the radio or tv on when i left so my dog felt like someone was there. then i got a gigantic teddy bear, and my dog loved that and stopped barking when i went out. so basically get more toys and stuff, but remember that your dog loves his owner, you, and that he wants to spend as much time as he can with you.
when u leave give him a toy or bone that might work .it worked with my dog
Well some people will tell you it is cruel, but you can purchase a bark stop e-collar. I saw one at walmart for under $80 the other day. It is a simple device, when the dog barks he gets a small electrical shock that simulates a mothers bite, which is the dogs signal for correction. Every time they bark over a certain decibel they will get this small shock. They are adjustable to different decibels and shock intensities. This is NOT a cruel solution, a more cruel solution would be having to give your dog up to a pound because he has some separation anxiety or is alarm barking at strange sounds. You can try the collar on your own arm to see that it causes no real pain or harm to your dog.
If you feel this isn’t right for you, there is also another one I saw online one time that sprays a small amount of citronella concentrate when the dog barks (dogs **** citronella). I have no idea what they cost or how much refills would be, but it could be another option.
Dogs that bark when alone and only alone have insecurity issues.
Find a house sitter or Doggy Daycare, if possible. Can you bring the dog with you when you’re going out or to work? Can you keep the dog in the house?

your dog may have separation anxiety. try looking at the link below to find out how to fix the problem…it’s a pretty common one, so you’re definitely not alone! make sure your neighbors know that you are trying to fix the loud barking so they don’t think you are just ignoring the complaints, this will definitely buy you some extra time to work with your dog! if all else fails, try going to a behavior therapist for assistance.
