i got a staff puppie for my birth day on my 14th birth day it was one the 22 of novenber i was proper happy
the pit bull breed came from England to US, where it was trained not to sheperd cattles but for dog shows. So they thought that this dog earns a new name for the old one was blemished beause of that jerks who were using pits for dog fight. pit bulls first new name was yankee terrier, than staffordshire terrier. I think pit bulls are not legal in England, but Staffys are, so i do not see the meaning!

american stafforshire terrier and american pit bull terrier are the same breed. only the dog-associaton is different. Americans gave the stafforshire name for pit bulls because the pitbull name had already have bad reputation.

U must get pro help from a qualified dog trainer how to solve your dog problem. Your dog is a child now and if you can’t get rid of your dogs aggressive behaviour now you wil most likely get alot of problems later with your dog. Its not cool to have a aggressive adult amstaff you can’t controll!
First of all. Why do you get such a dog as amstaff not reading or buying any training books about amstaff or searching for pro advises? If you get a dogs like amstaff, pitbull, dogo argentino etc you must think about every sitiuations! If you dident thinked about how to controll your dogs aggressive behavior and how to treat your dog and raise your dog correct, you are pretty naive!
What I am saying is that: amstaff is not a golden retriver! Sorry about my english.
American Staffys originated from the English Staffy and the American Pitbull being bred together.
they arent the same, pitbulls are more agressiv..amstaffs are friendly

hi i have a great dane bullmastiff cross puppy hes 16 weeks now n loves other dogs and i was thinking about getting an amstaff aswell, what would u recomend?

Dogs do not know what guilt is. Don’t chain him. Dogs think the whole yard is theirs – chaining affects this sometimes. He may be attracted to the wind blowing them in the air. Try to put him near the clothes with the leash, watch him and when he goes for them say no, bring him back away, sit, give him a treat for ignoring the clothes when he does. Do it several times,he’ll eventually ignore the clothes but b/c the clothes fling in the air a lot, it isn’t the easiest thing for a dog to resist.
i have a big problem with our much loved family staffy hes perfect but everyday he pulls mu clothes of the line ive put him on the chain and he still does it. when he does it he is so guility, he cant be bored he goes to work with my husband and we have children that play with him every day please help

American Staffordshire Terrier, American Pitt Bull Terrier and American BullTerrier are commonly called Pit Bulls. There are 25+ Breeds commonly mistaken for Pit Bulls.
My dog Trouble is the best dog ever. She doesn’t run away from me. Walks when I walk. She is a licker and likes to jump on other people, but in a friendly way She has had cancer since 2000, but is doing well. She loves to play with tennis balls and will bring them back to me. I love my Trouble.
Amstaff is like the sister or brother of the pitbull. Not the same breed of dog, but related.

i am a devoted 14 year old boy who needs a dog he can run around the block with and have fun with after school. It is very hard to find a good friendly dog that wont hurt my cousins and friends and protect me at the same time, looking for something that wont be a hard Challenge to clean up after and easy to teach i know I’m asking for a lot but do you think a American Staffordshire Terrier is the dog for me? and if not what is?
